Sometimes the most relaxing games are just the best. Leave all the action, violence, and aggression at the door and jump into something with far less at stake. Out of anyone out there, few probably understand that as well as Giants Software does with the Farming Simulator franchise and now the latest edition, Farming Simulator 17, is upon us, bringing the most intricate agricultural management simulator to fans everywhere.
Farming Simulator 17 brings a massive list of equipment for players to use, including over 250 farming vehicles from over 75 manufacturers, but if for some reason that’s just not enough, no worries. As usual, mods have you covered. Between new objects and construction to spice up your facilities, new vehicles not included in the game, and a few game changers here and there, there’s plenty to see in the modding community for Farming Simulator 17. Welcome to the wonderfully rustic Neu Bartelshagen! This mod features a farm based on a real area and completely built from the ground up using Google Maps to offer the actual terrain of the area. It features a sawmill, soy factory, compost production, and more in addition to the natural and untamed beauty of the land.

The Big M does more than live up to its name. This mower features a 13.2 meter wide catch to take care of massive stretches of land in just one run. This mod brings you the mower in all of its glory, featuring a wonderful selection of colors, fully textured and animated interior, and various functional lighting inside and out to ensure realistic functionality as you get the job done.

Perhaps one of the more convenient mods out there. This one allows players to place sell points where they can take their crop and bank some cash off of it as they see fit. This sell point is completely functional and able to take wheat, barley, sunflower, soybean, and a grand number of other crops you might have on hand.
FERMENTER MOD / Created by scooby maru
Want a much more convenient way to collect silage as a resource? This mod will help. It allows the placement of a fermentation production wherever you see fit. Just give it water and grass straw and in about an hour it will produce a hefty amount of silage for your use. It’s a rather well done offering and simple alternative to the current workings of the regular fermentation silo.

Now this is a rather beautiful piece of machinery. The Peterbilt 388 Custom has been brought over from a similar design on Farming Simulator 15 to be used in towing and cargo delivery on your farming fleet. Maybe you don’t really feel like taking the time to drive all the way out to whatever field you need to be in today, but you still need to be there. Why not just whisk yourself and your equipment there in an instant? With this mod, that’s more than a possibility. You can use it to teleport you or any of your vehicles to any place on the map as fits your needs. Save time and get to the good stuff!
Aimed at making what’s good just a bit better, this mod tackles the Case IH Puma 160 V. Particularly this mod tackles the lighting situation on the vehicle. Newly built head lights, turn signals, brake lights, and working lights offer, as well as new tire options, offer some cosmetic update and functionality to the vehicle to make it an altogether better ride.
As fantastic as those immersive steering wheel, switch console, and driving pedal set-ups for most Farming Simulator games are, it’s a given that not all of us can afford them, but driving on the keyboard isn’t the best either. Fortunately, a mod had already been created to make keyboard steering easier in Farming Simulator 15 and now it comes to 17 in proper form. Keyboards may not be as fun as those driving rigs, but it will be more functional with this mod.

Aimed at making what’s good just a bit better, this mod tackles the DamconPL75. Specifically, this particular mod raises the speed of the PL75 to 5km per hour, making it quite a bit quicker than its normal unmodded counterpart. As a balance, the price has been raised on this particular machine, but if you want a Damcon that can get work done just a bit faster than before, this is an excellent mod to have.
CHALLENGER MT900E FIELD ANACONDA
Want something with a little bite to it? This take on the Challenger MT900E just might have the zing you’re looking for. The Field Anaconda features a rather striking new paintjob that makes the tractor quite a bit more appealing. If you enjoy a little custom work, this set-up is rather awesome.
Very similar to the Field Anaconda above, this particular mod brings a fresh take to the Challenger MT700E tractor. If you enjoy the look of the Field Anaconda, but are looking for something more in the way of tank treads, this mod will lend you the striking custom look of the Field Anaconda in a vehicle more suited to your style.
MASSEY FERGUSON 8737 BLACK EDITION
Looking for something a bit sleeker for your garage and fields? We would offer this fantastic take on the Massey Ferguson 8737. With its new matte black paintjob, this 8737 has a sophisticated look that might look out of the ordinary on the farm, but still looks striking nonetheless. Just because you’re doing some hard agricultural labor doesn’t mean you can’t ride around in style.
Some people don’t want to have to choose and we can respect that. If you like any of the three mods above or just plain enjoy all of them, why not get them and more in a one-stop-shop mod? This mod brings the pretty fantastic Stark Industries Steel Combine Thresher 635 B to Farming Simulator 17. For just the price of €25000, plus €45 a day for maintenance, you’ll get a powerful machine that can mow through fields and harvest a wide berth of crops with relative ease.
This mod brings the New Holland LM 7.42 to your Farming Simulator 17 game. Pretty pricey at €105000 and €180 per day on maintenance, but this machine features some seriously fantastic power and speed to get you and your loads where you both need to go in a jiffy.
This mod brings the Krone Big X 1100 Combine to Farming Simulator 17. Featuring an incredibly wide harvester, this machine is built for incredible efficiency. Get your fields harvested in less passes and less time with the relatively comfortable speed this wide machine offers.
