2K Games "decided not to renew" MLB 2K for 2014, dev team moved to other IPs
While it was a surprise that 2K Games was suddenly releasing MLB 2K13 in March of last year, as many assumed the series benched, 2K has now decided it will be keeping that bench warm after all. The publisher has "decided not to renew" the MBL 2K series for this year, with last year's instalment criticised for being too similar to MLB 2K12 with 'just an updated roster'.
State of Decay release date confirmed, along with Sleeping Dogs DLC sale
Major Nelson has confirmed an earlier report that open world zombie game State of Decay will be coming the 5th June. The site also revealed that Tomb Raider, MLB 2K13 and Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes will be available the 4th June digitally on Xbox on Demand, while the Hitman Contracts and Silent Assassin HD Double Pack arrives on the 11th June.
Take 2 enjoys $1.2B revenue for fiscal year 2013
Take 2 has announced that the publisher earned $1.222B for the fiscal year 2013 ending on the 31st March, crediting such titles as BioShock Infinite, MLB 2K13, and Borderlands 2 downloadable content as the chief source, while older titles also drove sales.
2K Sports announces MLB 2K13, coming March 5th
Surprise! 2K Sports has announced that their Major League Baseball series won't be quite discontinued after all as they confirm MLB 2K13 is pitching this March 5th for Xbox 360 and PS3. Other platforms have yet to be dated. Take-Two kept the sports franchise from their fiscal report, but 2K Sports VP Jason Argent reached an agreement with associations to "bring back MLB 2K" for their "extremely passionate" fans.
