The survival game experience is greatly enhanced when you can team up with a larger circle of friends, especially without the barriers of different gaming platforms. For those pondering the availability of crossplay in ARK: Survival Ascended, here is the essential information you need regarding its cross-platform capabilities between PCs and consoles.
Studio Wildcard has recently confirmed that ARK: Survival Ascended will feature crossplay support, encompassing cross-platform accounts and cross-progression. This integration ensures that PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players can all interact and play together. Moreover, you’ll have the convenience of seamless progression, allowing you to resume your game on any platform right where you left off.

Crossplay has been a feature of ARK: Survival Evolved and is now enhanced for ARK: Survival Ascended. This updated version not only continues to support cross-platform accounts and cross-progression but also introduces a new feature: cross-platform modding support, as an added boon for the developer community.
This new cross-platform modding feature empowers players to craft and exchange custom content for the game, irrespective of their gaming platform. For the first time, console players will have the opportunity to personalize their gameplay just as PC players have, fostering a broader and more varied modding community.
Being able to mod the game on a console is something that players welcome. However, it also raises worries that this game could become flooded with cheaters. Fortunately, Studio Wildcard has also promised to add cross-platform anti-cheat functions to alleviate those who are fed up with hostile aimbot users.
Full crossplay functionality for ARK: Survival Ascended will be operational with the game’s release on Xbox Series X/S, scheduled for November 14th. While a specific release date for PlayStation 5 users has not yet been confirmed, it is anticipated to be available by late November.
