After recruiting enough people in Wartales, an open-world mercenary simulation game, you’ll be prompted to appoint one character to become a captain. As a captain, your character will be able to trigger the galvanize buff during combat, allowing them to execute more powerful attacks.
Naturally, you’ll want to pick someone with good stats for this role. But with so many characters with different abilities and stats to choose from, it’s easy to make a decision you might regret later. So, if you want to find out if you can reset your lieutenant or captain in Wartales, read on.
Can You Change Your Lieutenant or Captain in Wartales?
If you’ve made the mistake of making an archer a captain in your group, then worry not. Fortunately, Wartales allows you to easily reset or change your lieutenant or captain.
You can reset the lieutenant or captain of your group by heading to your camp. Once there, go to your character sheet, click on the cogwheel, and choose the ‘Make a New Captain/Lieutenant’ option. This will reset your current lieutenant or captain, allowing you to promote a new captain from the list of available candidates.
There’s another way to reset your lieutenant or captain in Wartales, although it is not the most ethical method. It’s only recommended if you don’t plan on keeping them. If you don’t care about your current captain, you can leave them to die, and the game will let you appoint a new captain a day later.
