Company of Heroes 3 launches with the biggest single-player content offering in series history. It not only features both a dynamic campaign set in Italy, but also a more traditional slice in the shape of its North African Operation, whose mission list might be on your mind.
Company of Heroes 3’s North African Operation is a string of missions that follows the Deutsches Afrikakorps as it rolls into the region and up to the first battle of El Alamein. They’re individual scenarios linked by a loose narrative focused on the local population, with Erwin Rommel providing briefings before each mission.
Company of Heroes 3 North African Operation Mission List
Company of Heroes 3’s North African Operation mission list includes eight playable levels, which take you through a variety of scenarios. You’ll assault British defenses, strike behind enemy lines, ambush convoys, as well as defend positions of your own.
Each level helps better familiarize yourself with the series’ newest faction, which uses to its advantage mobility and powerful vehicles supported by infantry who can repair them. Here are the names of all the levels you’ll need to complete:
- Ajdabiya Assault
- Fire With Fire
- Gazala's Cauldron
- The Fox's Trap
- Signals Crossed
- The Fall of Tobruk
- Scorched Sand
- The Battle of El Alamein
On your first playthrough, you’ll need to complete them in sequence. Strangely enough, the build we played while reviewing the game, had no option to select individual levels, even after completing the entire operation.
This means that you have the option of either playing the campaign all the way through or starting over, should you decide that your chosen difficulty is too easy or too hard.
It’s a bit of an odd decision and there’s no word yet on whether or not we’ll be able to freely select any mission from the list at some point after launch.
That is what you need to know about Company of Heroes 3’s North African Operation mission list and the names of each of its eight levels. For more on the game, read up on its factions and whether or not GeForce Now support is planned.
