Patch 2.7 of Diablo 2: Resurrected will bring another content update to the action RPG in 2023, possibly coinciding with its fourth season. Whether you’ve been grinding since launch or took a break at some point, it’s essential to know the release date if you plan to jump in right away.
Typically, Blizzard makes patch 2.7 available on the PTR before pushing it to live servers, providing an opportunity to test the new additions and balance changes. That, however, was not the case this time around.
Diablo 2: Resurrected Patch 2.7 Release Date
Diablo II: Resurrected’s patch 2.7 release date was shrouded in mystery for a while, before Blizzard revealed it to be May 2, 2023, earlier than our initial estimate.
Patch 2.7 coincides with the fourth season.
Blizzard typically aims for seasons to last around four months and resets the ladder accordingly, although this time around it happens sooner, to accommodate for the busy release schedule of the coming months, which includes Diablo IV and, possibly, a new Diablo 3 Season.
