Avowed releases on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in February 2025
Avowed is a first-party Microsoft title for PC and Xbox Series X/S, which means it will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on its launch day.
Obsidian Entertainment is well known for its library of RPGs likely to induce carpal tunnel syndrome with the number of hours you’ll need to explore all the intricate side quests and characters. We’ve all spent many enjoyable hours in its critically acclaimed RPGs, such as The Outer Worlds, Alpha Protocol, and Fallout: New Vegas. Avowed will be our next adventure on February 18th.
The synopsis reads much like the beginning of a familiar D&D campaign read out by your DM to build anticipation:
You are the envoy of Aedyr, a distant land, sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague throughout the Living Lands - an island full of mysteries and secrets, danger and adventure, and choices and consequences, and untamed wilderness. You discover a personal connection to the Living Lands and an ancient secret that threatens to destroy everything. Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Avowed is a singleplayer experience, so don’t expect any multiplayer modes or to team up with your buddies or family in co-op.
You can find it on Xbox Game Pass here.
