Sons of the Forest counts among the most anticipated survival games of the year, aiming to provide deeper immersion than its popular predecessor. With new headsets already here and on the horizon, you may be wondering whether or not VR support might be planned for launch.
Sons of the Forest VR support would allow players to get even closer to the action and horror, immersing them more in the usual routine of chopping down wood, gathering resources, fending off enemies, and solving puzzles that lead to uncovering the island’s secrets.
Sons of the Forest VR Support
Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest VR support doesn’t seem to be planned for the game’s early access launch. Its Steam page doesn’t list any VR platforms, while developer Endnight Games has yet to bring the subject up.
Given how the title shifted to an early access release fairly close to its February 2023 launch date, it’s likely safe to assume that the developer is focusing on the game itself and implementing any valuable feedback it might receive from fans.

This, however, doesn’t mean that we won’t see Sons of the Forest VR support arriving at some point further down the line. The feature hasn’t been ruled out and its predecessor does include it.
The team behind the game could begin work on a VR version at some point after launch. If that takes too long or ends up not happening, there’s also a chance that a crafty modder might take it upon themselves to deliver on the community wish.
