Sons of the Forest promises another hefty dose of horror-infused survival when it enters early access and beyond, building on the foundation laid by its popular predecessor. If the game has made its way on your radar, chances are you might be wondering if it will be available on Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart in 2023.
Sons of the Forest launching on PC Game Pass would give players who might be on the fence about committing to a traditional purchase prior an alternative way of trying out the title and seeing what it has to offer, all for a cheaper price.
Sons of the Forest Xbox Game Pass
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Sons of the Forest will become available through PC and Xbox Game Pass as its early access journey begins.
The subscription service hasn’t been brought up in marketing materials leading up to release, so it’s fair to expect that we’ll have to outright purchase the game if we plan on using it to test our survival skills. In addition, the title is currently only developed for PC.

While this is bound to disappoint some fans and players who’ve yet to experience the series, it is worth keeping in mind that Microsoft’s subscription service frequently refreshes its list of available games.
We might still see Sons of the Forest arriving on PC Game Pass at some point further down the line. When or if that might happen is hard to say without official word from the developer, but we’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we know more.
