Capcom have in fact already developed the game on PC where they can more easily get on with their day job, it’s then migrated over to Xbox360 and PS3.
While there’s no official announcement to a PC release they have made a number of previous console exclusives available to us desktop gaming zealots.
A similar development process was used for Devil May Cry 4, it too was developed on PC and was tagged as a PS3 exclusive but in fact did the rounds on Xbox360 and PC too.
”By developing (DMC4) on the PC, it’s very easy for us to work with the graphics and the gameplay, and see how the game is going to play,” Devil May Cry 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said last year. ”We’re still continuing to develop it on the PC, as well as being able to check how it runs on the 360 and the PS3.”
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition arrived on PC months after its console release and Devil May Cry 4 arrives this summer to keyboard and mouse. Future projects Dark Void, Street Fighter IV and Bionic Commando are all prepped for a home on motherboard lane too.
Has Capcom developed (see what I did there?) a crush on the PC platform? Let’s hope so.
