Unveiling the games existence in the team’s first developer diary, Seed Studio are working hard on ”unique gameplay elements”.
It features ”an original world” with a whole slew of ”multiplayer and community features” planned with particular focus and ”special emphasis” on user generated content.
”Hi, my name is Bruno Ribeiro and I’m Lead Designer on Under Siege, a real time strategy game coming in 2009 exclusively to the PLAYSTATION©3,” reads the dev diary launch.
”Under Siege features an original world, unique gameplay elements and a control scheme designed with a console controller in mind. We are also working on implementing a large number of multiplayer and community features with special emphasis on user generated content.”
”In the coming months we will share with you info on many of these features, as well as the work involved in creating them. Feel free to comment and give feedback along the way.”
The screenshots released are of the game in its pre-alpha stage, but Seed Studio seems confident the game will be ready to launch this year. PS3 gamers may miss out on February’s ‘Halo Wars’ action for Xbox 360 but ‘Under Siege’ looks to feed those masses.
