High street retailer GAME has the exclusive for BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins, as they’re the only ones to be peddling us the Collector’s Edition next month, here in the UK.
Everyone else can go suck regular lemons. The CE contains a ‘Making of’ DVD with the game, which comes in a ”Plastic Collectors Box”. Also the soundtrack, wallpaper, tips and more.
For those uninterested in the £39.99 CE for PC, or £49.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, the standard editions of the game include some nifty goodies already. They include The Stone Prisoner DLC and the in-game Blood Dragon Armour for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2.
Here’s the official list of stuff that comes with Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition:
- Plastic Collectors Box
-
Bonus DVD with a ‘Making of’ documentary, Soundtrack, Trailers, Wallpaper, Concept Art Video and Strategy tips
-
3 pieces of exclusive in-game content - Bergens Honour, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes and Final Reason - PLUS Memory Band (shown below)
-
Unlockable ME2 in-game item: Original purchasers of DAO will receive the Blood Dragon Armour which will be usable in both DAO and ME2
-
The Stone Prisoner unlockable bonus quest and unlockable character, Shale
They used to also mention a cloth map was to be included but this appears to have vanished from all the product listings, which likely means they couldn’t produce enough. BioWare has already announced a piece of DLC coming for Dragon Age shortly after its launch.
It’s called ‘Warden’s Keep’ and isn’t included in any edition except for EA’s own Digital Deluxe Edition priced at £39.99 for UK gamers; otherwise it’ll cost a few quid to buy.
Dragon Age: Origins is being released on Xbox 360 and PC this November 6th in Europe, and on PS3 November 20th. Check out the new teaser trailer below.
