Peter Moore, head coach over at EA Sports, is naturally delighted that there is now on average about 2.2 million online sessions played daily.
Avid EA Sports gamers have amassed over 4 billion minutes of multiplayer action since the summer of ‘08. This huge online trend has ”transformed the videogame landscape” notes Moore.
Most of the online users come from Madden NFL 09 and FIFA 09, which hold over 2.4 million registered users each.
”The massive migration to online gaming has transformed the videogame landscape, and this week’s 500 millionth online EA Sports game highlights the radical shift that we’ve helped pioneer in the industry,” said EA Sports boss Peter Moore.
If only those 4 billion minutes had of been from actually playing the sports, some might say.
