You can upgrade your galactic saviours with ”tens of thousands” of collectible body parts - how morbid. It’s also got co-op support too. Public beta anyone?
”Pit your customized, upgraded collection of heroes in PvP arena battles against other players,” blurbs the official Darkspore website.
”Collect an arsenal of living weapons - genetic heroes with different combat abilities - and upgrade them with tens of thousands of collectible body parts and armor.” We have to take on the evil spread of the Darkspore as they look to dominate all known life.
You won’t have to do it alone though as while the game is singleplayer in its campaign, Maxis have added full co-op support to tackle hordes and bosses. Maxis are also accepting public beta sign-ups on the official website.
There are whispers of a limited edition planned for action-RPG Darkspore too, although details are yet to be disclosed. This dark spin-off of Will Wright’s Spore certainly has the potential to make use of all those body parts for something more engaging.
