Sony has launched a website for the trial that currently show’s a sign up page.
Killzone 2 also had an beta trial in the US and Europe via SCEE’s Beta Trial Members scheme in late 2008, so perhaps this is a similar scheme? We’ll probably find out more at GamesCom at any rate.
Killzone 3 launches in February 2011 for PS3.
