Keen Software has announced Miner Wars 2.5D, a multiplayer spinoff of the popular Miner War series in which players steer a mining ship through a completely destructible environment. According to the developer, the game is an homage to the classic PC game Tunneler.
Players may travel through already existing pathways, but are encouraged to make tunnels of their own using the ship’s equipment with devices like drills and explosives. Each player has their own home base, functioning as a spawn point for players to recharge energy and restore ship’s health (armor).
Players are not restricted to simple skirmish modes against either other players or AI. Miner Wars 2.5D also offers a full single-player campaign composed of 15 unique missions, with such game modes as simple search and destroy, duel, hold the line mode, mining and tunneling goals and more. If that weren’t enough, the game shares its save game with Miner Wars 2081.
The bullet-point feature list includes:
* Fully Destructible Environment
-
Fast Adrenaline Action Set in Miner Wars™ Universe

-
Up-to 4 Players Multiplayer
