PlayGamer, a UK print magazine, is reporting that Sony is developing a sequel to one of the early PS3 games, Heavenly Sword.
Heavenly Sword 2 is reportedly going to be an open world game instead of the linear progression of the original game, and will have replayable missions as well. Players will also need to level up their characters by mastering martial arts, before finally earning the ability to wield a sword.
The game, which allegedly takes place ten years after the first game, would be revealed during Sony’s E3 conference. The original game, developed by Ninja Theory, sold 1.5M units, but did not break even financially.
