Players can pick up the The Frontier Colonies Map Pack for $3.99 (320 Microsoft Points) on Xbox Live Arcade on July 13. It adds new maps including “Desolation”, a desert world with ruins of a failed colony, and “Overseer”, which features military facilities looking down on a forest valley. Both maps support all multiplayer modes, including Conquest, Swarm, Assault and Skirmish.
The Skirmish Mode is a new, free game mode that will be released in late July. It’s a modified deathmatch mode in which the 8th Armored Infantry and Arm of Orion face off in a team deathmatch where players earn Victory Points by killing enemies or completing missions. Control Points can’t be captured or hacked. It’s the second free game mode released for Section 8: Prejudice - Assault mode was given away in late May.
Section 8: Prejudice has not yet been released on PSN, thanks in part to the PSN outage, but an announcement is coming regardling the game’s release for PS3.
