Publisher 7Sixty thanks digital marketplaces because it’s kept the long running PC series Stronghold alive and well, and the retailed Stronghold Collection too.
Online markets have meant ”new audiences are still discovering” the castle building and sieging strategy. Excluding spin-offs, Stronghold has cleared 5m copies.
“Thanks to the release of Stronghold games on digital and the Stronghold Collection at retail, new audiences are still discovering the series,” said global PR manager Rob Burman. Stronghold 3 releases next month for PC - the first sequel since 2006.
“The series – excluding its spin-offs – has sold more than five million copies worldwide and we expect Stronghold 3 to continue this strong sales trend.” Are you looking forward to the latest iteration of castle building from the Stronghold series, videogamer?
