Sheldon Pacotti, a developer who penned the first two Deus Ex games, has revealed more of his new indie game, Cell: emergence, which he has worked on under the banner New Live Interactive.
Cell: emergence, which will be released this September on PC and Xbox Live Indie Games, is a voxel-based game in which the player is combatting an infection in the body of a sick little girl. The virus and antibodies all work procedurally.
The game’s simple look is deliberate, as working with voxels allows Pacotti to have complex, procedural reaction and calculations. For more information on how Cell: emergence plays, check out a new developer diary for the game which explains the mechanics.
