The First & Second Encounter titles, remade in HD, will be releasing exclusively for Xbox 360 in shops this March 4th. They want to tap the 14m European Xboxes.
”Serious Sam has been released on over five different formats over a 10-year period, most recently receiving a successful release via Xbox Live,” said Mastertronic’s Neil McKenna. The publisher has also just announced Alien Breed Trilogy getting boxed.
”We’re bringing Serious Sam back to the retail market and with recent statistics showing two out of three gamers prefer to buy discs rather than download, and with over 14million Xboxes in Europe and the UK, there’s a huge potential market out there for this title.”
The HD remakes also include co-op via the Internet or local split screen. There’s hugely improved textures and character models in the two games as well. Serious Sam HD First & Second Encounter releases exclusively for Xbox 360 at retail March 4th.
