The popular PlayStation 3 tower defense game, PixelJunk Monsters, is going to become a free-to-play browser-based game, according to Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert.
Cuthbert said on Twitter yesterday that the ”latest PixelJunk Monsters will be shown” and that a press release would be coming later with the announcement officially announcing PixelJunk Monsters as a free-to-play browser game for social networks, sporting a new world map.
After the PSP version’s disastrous release last year in April, Cuthbert wrote, ”The PSP version didn’t do as well as we hoped so we’re giving it a bit of a break so we can come up with even more fresh ideas. We will come back to it though!” Now PC and Xbox 360 gamers (with home computers, of course) will be able to see what the big fuss is with the game.
