The Battlefield 3 blog has detailed how players can customize the over 50 weapons in Battlefield 3.
According to the blog, each main weapon in the game has three accessory slots. Weapon accessories are unlocked on a per weapon basis, meaning that the more time spent with a weapon, the more options the player will be given to customize that particular weapon.
For example, the various rifles in Battlefield 3 can be customized for wildly different combat roles. One of the examples the Battleblog gives is the carbine in the image below, which has been equipped with a heavy barrel, bipod, and a 4X magnification combat scope, for a rifle good for long range combat and suppressive fire.
The same carbine has a different customized configuration, with a suppressor, a foregrip, and quick acquisition holographic scope, which would be perfect for close quarters and more stealthy kills. Check it out in the image below.
Weapon upgrades include an assortment of optics, suppressors, bipods, barrels, underslung grenade launchers, underslung shotguns, foregrips, flashlights, laser sights, and more.
Let us know what sort of weaponry you’ll be fashioning in Battlefield 3.
