Three years ago, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode Two was released by Hothead Games, and a few months after the release, it was announced that the four part series would prematurely come to an end, with Penny Arcade releasing the events of the next two chapters in the form of prose.
Fans of the adventure game can rejoice, as Zeboyd Games has picked up the series and will developer Episode Three and Four for Penny Arcade.
Zeboyd Games is best known for their indie smash hit Cthulhu Saves the World, and judging by the subject matter of Penny Arcade Adventures, it’s right up their alley. The game will reportedly sport the same 16-bit RPG look as Cthulhu.
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode Three will be released sometime in 2012, with platforms to be announced - but it can be assumed there will be a version for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
