There’s been a scintillating exchange on Twitter, as Netherrealm’s Ed Boon and Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski want Marcus Fenix, the bulky space marine of Gears of War fame, to be a fighter in the ultra-gory beat-em-up Mortal Kombat, as the Xbox 360 counterpart to the God of War fighter on the PlayStation 3, Kratos.

The tweet exchange went something like this:

Ed Boon: “I wudda wanted Marcus Fenix from Gears.”

Cliff Bleszinski: “Hit me up about that!”
