The cover of the June 2012 issue of PC Gamer will feature Company of Heroes 2, the sequel to the 2006 tactical real-time strategy game set in World War II. The game will once again be developed by Relic.
According to the cover story, the new game will focus on the Eastern front with the player taking on the role as the commander of Russian troops during the winter. The game will have a strong snow theme, as snow will not only slow down troops and tanks, but will also function as camouflage and cover. Units can also vault over low obstacles.
THQ had previously teased Company of Heroes Online, which at some point fell through, but maintained building a new Company of Heroes site.
The game is set for a 2013 release date. Stay tuned for more info.
