If you feel that ‘retro’ gaming has let you down before, then perhaps Retro City Rampage is the answer. It borrows without remorse from a whole host of 8-bit and 16-bit classics, and packages them in one.
Don’t let its heavy Grand Theft Auto flavour fool you, there’s plenty more hidden within as the launch trailer shows. It’s due for release on PSN and PC this week, and XBLA later.
Officially the game is inspired by DMA Designs original Grand Theft Auto, as we fill the shoes of crime syndicate henchman, Jester. It’s crammed full of pop culture.
Retro City Rampage releases on PS3 and PC October 9th, and on Xbox 360 later.
