OOTP Developments has announced that their premiere baseball simulation Out of the Park Baseball 13 will be released on the 9th April.
The 2012 edition will come with the 2012 Major League rosters, along with the new collective bargaining agreement, new baseball rule changes including the additional single game playoffs play-in for the wild card, as well as the Houston Astro’s move to the AL West in 2013.
The game will also include for the first time a real-time simulation mode, which will allow GMs to see what’s going on in real-time in the league, as well as scores of games in progress, event notification, and game jump-in, jump-out ability.
Also debuting are Interactive Storylines, which offer the GM choices when situations arise. For example, will a GM punish a star player who behaves badly or just ignore him? Decisions will have wide-ranging effects on injuries, fan interest, team chemistry, player morale, player ratings, player potential, owner attitudes, and other factors.
The game also adjusts much of the simulation, including a revamped pitching model and career arc. Other tweaks to OOTP 13 include an overhauled interface, enhanced online league play, improved core gameplay engine, and so on.
Players who preorder Out of the Park Baseball 13 will get early access on the 6th April.
