Blizzard has announced some of the details for the fifth major update for Starcraft 2. The update has been described by Blizzard as their “most feature-laden patch to date” and will prep the game for the first expansion, Heart of the Swarm.
The announcement was made by game director Dustin Browder, who described the patch as being, ”One of the most significant additions will be the all new Arcade feature which includes improved custom game visibility, ratings, reviews, game instructions, screenshot support, and more.”
”Patch 1.5 will also include significant improvements throughout the overall user interface, streaming support, antialiasing, editor and modding upgrades, new art tools, and more,” he added.
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, which will feature a single player campaign where the player controls the hive-like Zerg. The game has no release date, save a general 2012 release.
