It didn’t take long for The Banner Saga to make its target of $100,000, having achieved its goal in less than 2 days - with 30 more days of funding to go.
Developer Stoic Games, comprised of several lead programmers from the Star Wars: The Old Republic team, expressed shock at reaching its goal so quickly, commending fans: ”YOU DID IT. Unbelievable! You’ve helped us achieve our goal in under two days. From all of us at Stoic we’re so incredibly grateful! We’ll be putting up a longer official update soon for all the backers that contributed, and again: thank you!”
The Banner Saga can best be described as Heroes of Might & Magic with a Viking theme and a dynamic storyline that changes according to the player’s actions and decisions. The game also features lush, hand-drawn artwork and animation, providing the game with a unique, artistic look to it.
