Walter P. Tugnut will be blasting mechanic menaces on Steam on the 6th April, as developer Demiurge has announced that their scrolling platform shooter Shoot Many Robots will be landing on PC for the first time. The game had been released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network two weeks ago.
Shoot Many Robots will cost a mere $9.99 USD.
The game will be optimized for PC, featuring a higher 2560x1600 resolution with 60 fps animation. It will also feature PC-optimized controls and interfaces, fully integrated Steam matching, Facebook matchmaking, Steam achievements and integrated voice chat. All of this is in addition to the four player online co-op found in the console versions.
If that weren’t enough, the Steam version will allow players to play as Half-Life’s iconic hero Gordon Freeman, while Portal turrets will replace some of the enemy bots. Meanwhile, the game will include downloadable content for Team Fortress 2, a Chopper Bot for the Pyro and Medic classes.
The PC version of Shoot Many Robots will also be demoed at PAX East 2012 in Boston, which is running from the 6th to 8th April. Gamers interested in checking it out will be allowed to play it in Demiurge’s booth.
The Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Shoot Many Robots earned a 5.0/10 score in Strategy Informer’s review.
