Rocksmith 2014 features a new, redesigned interface, including a new Session Mode, where players can actually create their own music, as a virtual band accompanies the player in real-time, following the player’s lead. Players can ”choose the style of music and from over 70 instruments they’d like to play with, and on-screen prompts help the player learn how to improvise and jam live with a band. They can then play on their own or jam side-by-side with a friend in Multiplayer mode, and create their own band experience in the comfort of their living room.”
The Instant Riff Repeater lets players choose the difficulty, speed and section of each music track they play, so they can slow down when learning a song or help them with sections they have problems doing.
Of course, Rocksmith 2014 also has a new track list, including “Knights Of Cydonia” by Muse, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis, Losing My Religion by R.E.M., “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones, “The Chimera” by The Smashing Pumpkins, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police and Foo Fighters’ “Everlong”, among others. Rocksmith players can also import their songs to the 2014 edition as well.
