Cliffhanger has revealed how the separate free-to-play and “campaign” (read as: premium) tiers would operate in the upcoming Shadowrun Online MMO.
According to the site, gamers who opt to play free to play will purchase some items with the in-game currency (“Nuyen”), and other items with real currency. Campaign subscribers will be allowed to buy everything with Nuyen. Campaign gamers will also get a boost in cash, karma, and loot chances. Campaign players will also have ”weighed influence on the plot development”.
