Yep, this post brings you the latest information pertaining to Resident Evil’s story. Yes, Resident Evil does have a story. The lastest incarnation in the series, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, stars Claire Redfield and Moira Burton.
Claire Redfield’s a series regular you might be familiar with already, but Moira is a new character related to an old one - namely burly Barry Burton, he of ”master of unlocking” fame.
SPOILERS! Barry bought it back in the original game. Moira might be on a quest to find out what happened to her old man, but whatever her motivations she acts as a kind of support character to Claire’s badass gunslinger. Push Start has gathered a bunch of other new reveals from the November issue of Gamesmaster, which you can find here.
Here’s some highlights; Revelations 2 can be played solo or co-op, and takes place between Resi 5 and 6. It’s more survival horror and less action, and features a new “Afflicted” enemy type, which “may look like zombies, but are in fact something quite different,” according to producer Michiteru Okabe.
These Afflicted dudes are tough, which means you might want to avoid taking them head on. Stealth takedowns are an option, if you can get close enough.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is out early 2015 on PC and last-gen consoles.
