It wasn’t all gunshots, explosions and beheadings at this year’s E3 press conferences. It was mostly gunshots, explosions and beheadings, but there was also a new trailer for the increasingly lovely-looking World War One adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
Amongst a lot of bombastic excess, it was a small but welcome dose of heart-felt emotion. Well played, Ubisoft.
Built on the UbiArt Framework, Valiant Hearts follows a group of gorgeously-animated characters from several different nationalities as they try to survive the chaos and horror of the First World War. From the trailer above, it looks like we’re going to be put through the emotional tumble-dryer. Sad dogs, man. I can’t handle it.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War is coming to PC and consoles on June 25. Check out my recent preview for more. Honestly, I think it could be something very special.
