Rumours are flying regarding the recent ESRB rating for Resident Evil Revelations 2, which seems to suggest the presence of a previously unannounced playable character.
“This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of an imprisoned woman and a father searching for his daughter on an island,” the listing reads.
Considering that Moira Burton, son of the original Resident Evil’s Barry Burton, is one of the two currently confirmed protagonists, that sort of suggests old man Burton might be the secret character in question. If so, he’ll be teaming up with his old S.T.A.R.S partner Jill Valentine once more.
Don’t read the link if you don’t want several scenes of gruesome violence spoiled for you. What I will confirm for you is that “combat is highlighted by screams of pain, realistic gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects.” So no need to worry there.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is due out in early 2015.
