While Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is now out on iPhone and iPad, boiling the blood of veteran RCT fans. Atari announce the ”completely different” PC version is due this holiday. It’s a ”multiplayer” version, apparently.
Atari say it’ll have ”even more social features” with co-operative gameplay. It’s unclear if they mean ‘more social’ than the mobile version, or previous PC releases.
In any case, series creator Chris Sawyer has ”no involvement with the creation of Atari’s newly announced RCT games,” he told Pocket Tactics. That makes this the first RollerCoaster Tycoon with no input from its creator at all. Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is bloated with microtransactions and comes with an initial amount of in-game currency.
