Reality Pump’s pirate RPG Raven’s Cry is clearly going for the title of ‘most delayed game ever’, as the studio and publisher TopWare Interactive has just announced it will be pushed back once more to January 28, 2015.
The game was originally scheduled for release way back in in October 2013, but a series of setbacks followed. The game’s been previously set for November and then December this year, but it seems we won’t be merrily pirating and swigging rum this holiday season.
“The release date for Raven’s Cry is being postponed until January 28, 2015,” writes the developer. “We had hoped our dark pirate epic would be ready in time for the Holidays, so those of you who buy it could put it under the Christmas tree. But we’re not willing to rush things make any compromises with this project, so we decided to give this complex RPG adventure a little bit more time to make sure all the blades are nice and sharp, so to speak. After all, we owe it to our fans, who have been waiting a long time for a such an exciting pirate experience.”
While we wait for that January 28 release date, Reality Pump promises to release some further information and “gameplay material” for the dark, pirate RPG in the coming weeks.
