The Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director’s Cut is available now. This upgraded and reworked version of Harebrained Schemes cyberpunk fantasy RPG adds a bunch of new features and improvements.
As well as five new missions, graphical enchantments and a drastically altered interface, the game offers the chance to customise and outfit your trusty squad of runners.
I’ve had the briefest of brief sessions with the new version, and already the improvements to the frankly rather clunky interface are noticeable. Harebrained has also pumped up the gore a bit, which makes the combat feel a bit more chunky. I bloody love Shadowrun, so I’m looking forward to digging in to the new content. Which, since you ask, is as follows:
Steam Achievements
Steam Trading Cards - collect your favorite Dragonfall characters
All-new alternate endings to the main campaign
Enhanced visual effects including splatter and dismemberment, improved animations, and optional post-processing effects
New bioware augmentations provide an extra edge on the battlefield… if you’ve got the nuyen
A variety of new items, cyberware and spells
Additional player customization options
Expanded character development for several side characters
Writing and design tweaks and polish throughout!
If you don’t own Dragonfall, you can grab the Director’s Cut now for £10.99. If you do, check your Steam library and you should find the upgraded version nestled snugly within.
