RPG Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues has crossed the $3 million threshold in crowd-funding and continues to march upward. Over $1.1 million has been pledged directly to the development team.
It seems on track to eventually best its Kickstarter campaign which ended with $1,919,275. Release 2 of the RPG is due January 22nd, and they’re ”working feverishly to get it ready!”
Ultima creator Lord British will host a special ”late night Video Hangout” this Thursday, January 23rd, to mark the occasion of $3m and Release 2’s launch.
”Shroud of the Avatar has crossed the $3M milestone thanks to your generous support! The team and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our Backers for your belief in both our team and our vision for New Britannia!” said Richard ‘Lord British’ Garriott. The impending Release 2 is only available to select backer reward tiers.
”Release 2 is only available to backers starting at the $45 Adventurer Pledge Tier (and $25 Early Founder First Responders), so if you want to play and haven’t backed the game yet, then please make sure you have registered on our website and made your pledge.” Shroud of the Avatar continues to accept pledges on the official website.
