Developer Nabi Studios has announced that its free-to-play turn-based fighting game Toribash is now available on Steam.
The strategic brawler allows you to counter enemy attacks with your own custom moves, planning and designing your attacks to break through your enemy’s guard in multiplayer or a singleplayer ”sandbox mode”. Here’s a trailer.
And here’s basic punch tutorial to give you some idea how this all works.
It certainly looks different. ”Steam is going to be amazing for Toribash. Even just getting access to the built-in auto-update has made rolling out new features faster and easier. Having achievements pop up in real time is very cool too,” said Nabi Studios’ Hampus Soderstrom in a press release today. ”We had always planned to do a friend list with some kind of messaging system, but it never came together because the overhead was just too much for a game like Toribash. With Steam, though, we get access to a great friends system, much better than the one we have in Toribash right now.”
Here’s what you can expect from Toribash, available here free-to-play.
