By all accounts the soundtrack to futuristic action game Transistor is something special, so it’s pretty cool to hear that developer Supergiant Games has put the whole thing up on YouTube for free.
If you’d rather have your own copy, you can buy both digital and CD versions from the Supergiant web store for $9.99 and $14.99 respectively. The soundtrack was composed by Darren Korb, with vocals by Ashley Barrett.
Transistor launched yesterday on PC and PS4. You play as Red, a famous singer in a city called Cloudbank who finds herself under attack from robotic assassins, and comes into contact with the mysterious Transistor sword. Combat’s a bit of a mix between real-time and turn-based, with Red able to enter a ‘planning mode’ to set up her combination attacks. Here’s the launch trailer.
