The sixth DLC pack for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes will drop this November, Stardock has confirmed. Titled Battlegrounds, it will add 15 new maps and over 20 new ‘stamps’ to add variety to the game’s random map generator.
That’s a lot of new worlds to conquer. The new content joins the free patch 1.8, which adds six new monsters to the game and tweaks the game’s monster-spawning system.
“The dozen-plus new tactical maps added in the ‘Battlegrounds’ DLC give players new challenges and opportunities in combat,” claims Stardock. “You may start out surrounding or encircled by your enemies, or need to defend or assault tight chokepoints. The visual variety is better than ever with ruined Imperial highways, dark fortresses buried deep in desert sandstorms, and more serving as backdrops to the epic conflicts the break out in any game of Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes.”
Sounds like there should be a lot of visual and tactical variety on offer here. Patch 1.8’s new monsters meanwhile, include the the “flame-wreathed Gilden Lion” and the “battle-frenzied Obsidian Legion”. Which both sound unpleasant.
Patch 1.8 should be applied to your game at the same time that the Battlegrounds DLC drops; next Tuesday, November 25 for $4.99.
