Monolith and Warner Bros. have put out another bit of free content for their open world orc-stabbing simulator Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The new content includes an extra skin, letting you play as Lithariel, Commander of the Tribesmen of Nurn, as well as a new rune and a new Challenge.
The new rune is the Epic ‘Defiant to the End’, which gives you additional time to make one of those Last Chance kills before you’re taken down. You don’t have to earn it, it’s added straight to your inventory.
Lithariel also gets a new Challenge mode called Test of Defiance. In it you’re tasked with killing 6 warchiefs and 15 captains. In one life. “Lithariel does more melee damage,” the developers explain, “but has less armor. You cannot save during this challenge.” Shadow of Mordor can be a tricky one, so I’m assuming players looking for a challenege will find one here.
The new content comes with a new patch, adding Nvidia SLI support and fixing a bunch of issues with the game. Check out the full patch notes here.
