Twin-stick co-op shooter Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be available to download on PC and consoles this December 9, publisher Square Enix has revealed.
This is firmly back in comic-book Lara territory (as opposed to the slightly more realist reboot), with giant scarabs, shiny loot and Egyptian sun-gods wielding assault rifles and rocket launchers.
Just like in previous game Guardian of Light Lara is voiced by the excellent Keeley Hawes, and Temple of Osiris sees her investigating a mysterious Egyptian tomb hidden in the titular temple. This time she’s accompanied by fellow archaeologist Carter Bell and Egyptian gods Horus and Isis.
You can either play solo or group up online or on the sofa to play the game in up to four-player co-op mode. You’ll compete for loot and trinkets while working together to blow the hell out of various blameless mythological creatures.
Interestingly it’s from Crystal Dynamics, the same team behind the rebooted Tomb Raider and next year’s Rise of the Tomb Raider.
