Spiders, the development studio behind upcoming action RPG Bound by Flame, have released a new video that sheds light on the creation of the game’s musical score.
The music was created by composer Olivier Derivière and singer Iré, and takes inspirations from many different styles and musical traditions. Apparently they created ”an imaginary language for Iré’s singing to explore the human voice and express emotions beyond the meaning of words and to express feelings of hope and fear.” Which is nice.
Fittingly for a game about humanity being slowly destroyed by an implacable enemy, the score will ”create an atmosphere of loneliness and despair.”
Bound by Flame will be available on PC and consoles May 9. Should you wish, you can check out our preview for our initial impressions of the game.
