EA has delayed a free FIFA 14 update introducing new World Cup content to the game’s card-collecting Ultimate Team mode. The update was meant to roll out today, but EA Sports announced in a forum post that they were pushing it back “to ensure the best possible experience”. The post reads as follows.
To ensure the best possible experience, we have decided to delay the launch of FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup (PC/PS3/PS4/360/XB1) and the World Cup Kick-Off mode (XB1/PS4).
Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision. However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it’s important to address them first before release.
The post, from community manager Robb, assures fans that the team are working hard to get the new update out. It also promises more information and a progress update via the EA sports Twitter page this evening.
