Vampires versus humans shooter Nosgoth has just been updated with a brand new map, a new skin, a quitting penalty for leaving games, and an updated interface.
The new map is The Crucible, a really very cheery place where those fun-loving vampires like to hand out, have a few drinks, and watch slaves battle each other to death in the gladiatorial pits.
To celebrate the map’s lava-heavy theme, developer Pysonix is also kicking off an Inferno Event, where players can buy and find Exotic weapons with a magma visual effect. There’s also a new Evolved Skin for the Deceiver class, created in collaboration with Legacy of Kain artist Daniel Cabuco.
In terms of in-game changes, if you’re the first player to quit or get disconnected from a match, you’ll be locked out of the matchmaking queue for 3 minutes. Anyone who leaves as a result of teams becoming imbalanced won’t be penalized. The game’s UI has also been altered, with a larger minimap, and cooldown timers for all your abilties.
