As promised inXile Entertainment have posted in-engine footage of The Bard’s Tale IV which continues unabated on Kickstarter. It’s almost at the $1 million milestone.
They’ve also extended their free game promotion by another day so pledges $20 and over get a copy of RPG Wasteland 2, The Witcher or The Witcher 2. With 36 days to go on the campaign it seems a sure thing.
”Exploring in the world is a major part of the experience and we wanted to make use of the full screen and all that Unreal has to offer to make it as compelling as possible. Once combat starts, the combat shifts out of the first person mode. We are still debating the best ways to present combat as that is ultimately dictated by the final budget, but rest assured it will be party and turn/phase based.”
For now we get a teasing video of over 3 minutes that show off in-engine footage. It’s important to note that in-engine does not equate to what we’ll experience in-game when it releases.
