Ubisoft has just dated the maiden voyage of Assassin’s Creed Rogue for PC, and has posted the system requirements we’ll need to navigate the icy seas of the North Atlantic.
Unlike Unity, in Rogue we’ll be helming a ship once again - the Morrigan - as well play the role of a Templar and former Assassin, Shay Patrick Cormac. Black Flag’s naval components are the big sell.
As Assassin’s Creed Rogue is also based off the same engine as Black Flag we should be spared the horrendous launch nightmares of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which adopted ‘better tech’ for the PC and next-gen consoles.
”Starting in 1752, Assassin’s Creed Rogue is set during the Seven Years War and gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York. As Shay Patrick Cormac, players suffer the brotherhood’s betrayal and experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar.”
Ubisoft Kiev is behind the PC port of Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Interestingly they’ve added support for eye tracking input controls, as they partnered with Tobii Tech; looking left or right will pan the camera.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue releases on PC March 10th.
